At about 3:30 this morning.

*not* nice

On my front door....

Tokyo trip, part 6

Thursday

Exhausted!!

We were tired!

We ate breakfast in the room 

and then went down and the kids swam in the pool.

I didn't bother bringing my camera this time either.

My DSLR's battery died and all I had at this point on was my point and shoot.

I should say A's old point and shoot.

I hate it!

We checked out at about 11:30 am

and went to the restaurant to have one last 

American meal.

Rather funny to say,

"We went to Tokyo to have good American food!"

On our way out we waved at the gate guard.

A couple of boys off school.

 

We finally arrived home at 3pm.

Wiped out!

But.... soooo much fun!

Kurihama Flower World, revisited

We went back to Kurihama Flower World since the cosmos were to be in bloom.

It is early yet, but in the next few weeks we'll have to go back.

Perhaps right after we get back from Tokyo.

The kids played at the playground

and then we found a cat.

After both kids spent some time with the kitty, 

we headed down the hill on foot.

Late blooming hydrangia.

Kurihama Flower World, Part 1

One of the places on my "to do" list to go see is Flower World in Kurihama.

Wow!  I should not have waited!

I expected it to cost a pretty penny, er yen-ny;

I was shocked to discover it was FREE!!

Train fare was Y270 there, so total cost for us was Y540*3 + Y270 (Lori is half-price).

We didn't actually get very far into the park

(you'll see why in a minute)

but we plan on going back, several times.

In the spring the park has 1 million poppies, but we missed those.

We will go back this fall to see the cosmos.
